Happy Together – Unhappy Together

We don’t know what fate is cooking for us, but we do know that in the show “Happy Together – Unhappy Together” three women have come together to cook. Literally. And whatever they cook – they will give to the audience. Literally.

But can these three women cook; who are they and how come that they will cook? They are classical and contemporary dance stars of dance. So why do they cook and not dance? Wait a minute – no one said they wouldn’t dance while they cook. We’re just saying that in the end there will be something cooked – we don’t know if you’ll like the show or not, we don’t know if you’ll be Happy or Unhappy, but you certainly won’t leave empty-handed.

But is this art? Look, precisely because it’s not quite certain what art is, we offer you try something sure – baked in the oven. And you’ll like it. As for the rest – who knows… In any case, Marta, Mila and Teodora will do their best.

Teodora Popova is a Bulgarian dancer and choreographer with spanning experience in contemporary dance performance, choreography for theatre, and dance education.

In 2024 she received both the IKAR Award of the Union of Bulgarian Artists in the category of Contemporary Dance and Performance, and the Sofia Municipality Award in Dance, for “Esmeralda and Raymonda”, a project by Galina Borisova at RCCA Toplocentrala, in which she also performed as a dancer and co-creator. Her most recent work as creator and performer, “Happy Together/Unhappy Together” (2025, Artitude & Toplocentrala), earned her an IKARUS Award nomination in 2026.
