The 16th edition of the Antistatic Festival is the time and place where the first residency of the project “Fear as an artistic statement” will take place and three contemporary dance artists will start working on their projects exploring the theme of fear.
Under the mentorship of the choreographer Galina Borisova, Stanislav Genadiev (Bulgaria), Nermin Habib (Egypt) and Anas Abo Naleh (Jordan) will develop their productions as an argument to the connectivity of us all through the arts and the need of a stronger cultural ecosystem in Europe and neighbouring regions.
The latter has also provoked Brain Store Project (Bulgaria), Al Balad Theatre (Jordan) and Wasla (Egypt) to embark on the adventure “Fear as an artistic statement” and create a project for artistic exchange and collaboration between artists from Egypt, Jordan and Bulgaria. It is realised in the framework of the Thoulathy³: Cross border Collaboration Projects of the All-Around Culture Programme, funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the EU.
The final presentation of the results of the residencies will be in September 2023 in Cairo.
