A starting point for the lecture-performance If You Don’t Have a Masterpiece, Please Start out Something Else is the question of the original and the copy. Historical model examples of modern and postmodern dance will be subjected to perversion and subversion to propose that way a new context in which the contemporary artist appropriates originals by citing them. Commenting on what is already created and analyzing the present, this artistic project regards art as a question of time and signature. Can we be really original? The performance started as a part of “tri3avisim” – an initiative of the Guild for Contemporary Performing Arts at the Union of Bulgarian Artists which is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Etude Foundation.
