April 12 (Monday) 2010, Nikolay Binev Youth Theatre, 8.00 p.m.
Performance by Cecilia Bengolea and François Chaignaud (France)
Paquerette (daisy) researches forms of physical and symbolic penetration as potential movements for contemporary choreography. Paquerette extends the geography of the dancing body and challenges a Puritanism that excludes intimate regions and erogenous zones. Far from taking a vulgar and exhibitionist approach, the French choreographers create an intimate and quiet study of the possibilities within human movement.
With the support of La Générale (Paris), Centre National de Danse Contemporaine (Angers), La Malterie (Lille), Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers, La Ménagerie de Verre / StudioLabs (Paris), Premiered au Quartz, Festival des Antipodes (Brest).
